This box set includes all four books below.
CLAIRE - Book One
Twenty-three-year-old librarian Claire Helmsworth's life ran like clockwork. Everything happened like it was supposed to happen and when it was supposed to happen. No one lied, and no one made a promise he or she couldn't keep—and if they did? Even that was predictable, and Claire's predictions were never, ever wrong.
One summer night, a planned phone call doesn't happen, setting in motion a disaster that destroys the ideal world Claire inhabits, scattering her and her two siblings in separate directions. Each Helmsworth must find their own way back to reconciliation with their past and with each other, all while being pursued by multiple interests who have their own plans for the Helmsworths’ special talents.
BRIAN - Book Two
After his family home explodes, sixteen-year-old Brian Helmsworth chases the culprits from Colorado to Wonderland—a remote island laboratory where the experiments that granted him his psionic talents may have continued.
Initially welcomed as a returning prodigal son, Brian soon realizes he is in danger of being added to a mad scientist's collection of test subjects, if he isn't first captured by the same megalomaniac who had his parents killed!
But, thanks to his father's patient coaching, Brian has a trick in his bag that nobody can see coming. He may also have a potential ally straight out of his imagination.
JENNA - Book Three
Twenty- one- year- old Jenna is an empath and Jenna is the black sheep of the Helmsworth family. She is the only one of her three siblings to rebel against her parent's mother and father’s idea of good parenting: leaving their children for weeks at a time, insisting they didn’t talk to law enforcement, relying on no one but each other, and never dreaming of leaving their sleepy Colorado town.
Jenna spent her college career studying the mind, hoping that she could some day understand her family, and better control the emotions that increasingly caused her pain —a pain that forced her to put her studies on hold and return home for the summer.
Upon awakening from a prescription haze, Jenna discovers that her childhood home’s been destroyed, she’ has been abandoned by the brother who was supposed to watch over her, and she’s being kept in the dark by the sister who believes she’s only doing what’s right. Her siblings are living up to some of the bad parts of their parents’ legacy, while all three of them are in danger of being forced to relive a past none of them can remember.
It falls to Jenna to find a way forward for her family, provided her own mind doesn’t betray her before she can convince them to follow her lead.
PRODIGY'S PROMISE - Book Four
Only a few days after their family home was destroyed, the Helmsworth siblings are running out of options.
Claire keeps cycling through a vision she cannot stop without causing herself pain; one where her future is gunshots and fire, and the flesh she smells burning will soon be her own.
Jenna has regained tenuous control of her fraying mind, but she can see no path ahead that will not require the deliberate use of her dangerous powers.
Claire and Jenna's brother Brian, abandoned by an ally who made a choice to save herself, is trying to make it back to his sisters before he can be turned into a weapon that will be used against them.
The Helmsworths can't run anymore. They have to make a stand and demonstrate the promise their parents saw in them.
