Picture Imperfect (Caught on Camera Mysteries Book 1)

Maggie Reed spent twenty years chasing the whole wide world for glossy travel magazines. Now she chases something smaller and sweeter: the next harbor town up the Maine coast, filmed from a restored 1968 Airstream named June with a golden retriever riding shotgun and a Gen-Z cameraman explaining the internet from the back seat. When her travel channel, The Scenic Route, rolls into Saltwick Cove for the 47th annual Lobster & Lights Festival, Maggie plans to shoot lobster boats, butter-soft sunrises, and the best blueberry pancakes in town.

What she does not plan on is a body in the background of the prettiest postcard she's ever made. The town calls it an accident. Maggie's camera disagrees. She has a photographer's curse — she notices — and a timestamp, a reflection, and a detail no one else caught keep nagging at her like a crooked picture on a wall.

Worse, the people the police are eyeing are her own small crew. To clear the ones she loves, Maggie will have to develop every frame, charm a tight-lipped harbor town, and match wits with a watchful state detective who takes his notes in pencil. Warm, wry, and impossible to put down, Picture Imperfect launches a fair-play cozy series where the clue is always hiding in plain sight — if you know how to look.
