A Simpler Path Via Julian of Norwich and Marcus Aurelius by David Conduct
‘A Simpler Path’ springs from the belief that organised religion, particularly that of Christianity, has become over- complicated and burdened by theology and doctrine which actually hinder our spiritual growth. As a solution to this problem, two alternatives are offered.
The first is to be found in the writings of the Fourteenth Century mystic, Dame Julian of Norwich; the second, in the Second Century "Meditations " of Marcus Aurelius.
Though springing from different sources, I believe that both these alternatives chart a simpler path to self- enlightenment and may be of some help in achieving this goal.
A retired history teacher, David Conduct now lives in Durham where he taught for over 20 years. When not writing, he can be found busking from home @ durham-busker on Twitter and YouTube.
